Utica is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Utica peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had the pleasure of studying at this school during the summer of 2024, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience. The staff and atmosphere were welcoming and friendly, making it a great environment for newcomers to the U.S. and for anyone looking to immerse themselves in American society. I would especially like to highlight Deborah Hanson, who truly made a difference in our journey. She invited us to join her Hospitality class to obtain the ServSafe Food Handler certificate, an opportunity that added real value to our experience. Deborah’s passion for teaching is contagious. She is genuinely dedicated to her students, always seeking to provide the best learning experience possible. Her enthusiasm for her work was evident every day, and her thoughtful approach to teaching helped us feel comfortable and supported. She often asked if we needed further clarification or if there was anything else we wanted to learn. Beyond her curriculum, Deborah went out of her way to help us with simple things, like understanding the different coin denominations in American currency, and she was always happy to answer questions outside the scope of the class. If she didn’t kno

I think BOCES is a okay alternate route if you were drop out. I believe the teachers actually enjoy their jobs and want you to succeed, and if you actually put time and effort and you will do well. However I do wish it got more funding. But overall 3/5 would do again if I could.

The worst program ever. Very disorganized and money hungry. Does not have the students best interest at heart. Teachers are awesome but never stay as a result of inconsistencies and frustration. I would never recommend this program for the money you pay out, its chaotic. Proper books aren't provided in the package as should be etc. Needs whole new management!
